8:00 – 5:00pm

SolidWorks and Programming 101 for our middle school manufacturing educators.  The refresher on SolidWorks will contain some “tips & tricks” and some new teacher tools overview, then a short drawing/ project 1 that should bring all you learned together.  This should take 2-3 hours.

The remainder of the day will be a programming class from the professor at UWF that leads the robotics lab.  He, Sam Russell, has developed a class to teach the basics of programming in four classes.  This will be the first class.  The next will be offered at least a couple of weeks out, and I will let you and Sam set those dates around your schedules.  He has the “homework” for the class developed to allow you to accomplish by yourself or with your class.  The class will provide all the needed information, hardware, software and access to Sam throughout the class period.  What I also hope it will do is allow you and Sam to have a relationship that will grow into more exciting endeavors such as robotic competitions. (a light lunch will be brought in)
